Formation

Sunday Mornings

  • Rector’s Forum is held on Sunday mornings at 9:15-10:15am during the months of September through May. Click here to view our 2025 Winter/Spring lineup.

  • A Sunday morning offering for youth (grades 6th-12th) and their parents who gather for a larger group discussion about sustaining a life of faith within our families. We then break into smaller groups.

Thorne Sparkman

The Thorne Sparkman School offers a dynamic opportunity each Lent for Christians and seekers to gather in community each Tuesday evening with others from across our city for a rich time of learning, fellowship, worship, and faith exploration, with first-class scholars and teachers. There will be a light soup dinner served before the lecture.

Wednesday Nights

Each week, we gather for dinner, discussion, committee meetings, and interesting classes taught by clergy and lay leaders. Our Wednesday night programming has recently been updated with exciting new dinner options and formation opportunities that have brought a dynamic energy to this weekly time of fellowship. This is a well-loved time of nourishment and connection amongst parishioners and staff.

Centering Prayer

Our diocesan bishop is leading the House of Bishops in developing a new ministry in the national Episcopal Church: Diocesan Schools of Contemplation. In the summer of 2024, a group of 75 St. Paul’s members studied Cynthia Bourgeault’s book, The Heart of Centering Prayer. During the 2024-25 program year a group of 20-30 persons have been meeting weekly for an hour of Centering Prayer and sharing.
