Christian Crocker

Christian Crocker served as the Director of Music and Organist at the Episcopal Church of the Nativity in Huntsville, AL. before joining the team at St. Paul’s. During his nine years at Nativity, the choirs have seen tremendous growth in participation and engagement. In addition to his ministry at Nativity, Christian is the Artistic Director for Valley Consort, an auditioned twenty-voice choir singing diverse music from all time periods. As an active professional singer, Christian has performed with the Oregon Bach Festival Chorus, Ensemble Altera, Yale Choral Artists, Bach Collegium San Diego, The Queen’s Six (UK), and Tenebrae (UK). He recently was a faculty member at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (2016-2022) as an Adjunct Professor of Voice. Before arriving at Nativity, Christian received his B.M. in Organ Performance from Florida State University and his M.M. in Choral Conducting from the Yale School of Music, and a certificate from the Yale Institute of Sacred Music. In his spare time, he enjoys entertaining and cooking for his friends and cycling through northern Alabama and southern Tennessee.
